The experienced designers of Vettorello & C. know that the building is a factor in production. This means that the shed is not just a space, but significantly affects the quality of the production.
Therefore, organic breeding has three essential objectives: maximum production yield, animal welfare and functional spaces for operators. In particular, it is necessary to ensure a setup that respects the freedom of the animals to feed, to rest in a comfortable environment, to show their behavioural characteristics, and also to be free from fear and discomfort (source CIWF).
Starting from these requirements and at the request of many customers interested in organic farming, we have designed a shed for poultry use, with special hopper windows and side openings, tailored specifically to meet the many needs of the organic animal husbandry system.
It is a portal-framed hot-dip galvanised steel structure without tie rods. Roof, sidewalls and gables are constructed using polyurethane sandwich panels with high thermal insulation for control of the microclimate.
The shed is equipped with side air vents for winter ventilation and motorised side openings (exits) to allow the animals to go out into the open and roam around the surrounding land, as is necessary in this type of production. We also install the complete equipment appropriate to the type of breeding.
